Send Bugpot reports to Bitbucket

The Bitbucket integration files new Bugpot reports as issues on the repository you pick, with the screenshot in the description and priority mapped to Bitbucket levels.

Bugpot × Bitbucket

Push reports into Bitbucket Issues with the annotated screenshot and environment data in-line.

Status pills flow both ways.

How the sync works

Two-way sync, not a fire-and-forget webhook

Bugpot writes the report into Bitbucket and then watches for changes coming back — status, comments and closes — so the two systems stay in step without anyone re-typing anything.

Outbound

Bugpot → Bitbucket

Reports become issues on the repository you pick, with the annotated screenshot embedded in the description.

Inbound

Bitbucket → Bugpot

Status changes on the issue toggle the Bugpot report, and comments post back into the thread.

Field map

What lands where

Every Bugpot field has a home in Bitbucket. The defaults are sensible; you can remap any of them from the workspace settings if your setup names things differently.

Setup

Five steps, about five minutes

The whole thing runs through OAuth — you don’t paste tokens, and Bugpot only requests the scopes it needs to create issues and read status changes.

  1. In Bugpot, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Bitbucket.

  2. Authorise Bugpot to read and write to your Bitbucket workspace via OAuth.

  3. Pick the repository that each Bugpot workspace should push to. You can override per issue type.

  4. Map Bugpot statuses to your Bitbucket statuses so the two-way sync knows what "resolved" means.

  5. Send a test report from the widget and confirm it lands in Bitbucket with the screenshot attached.
