Cookie policy
The short version: Bugpot sets a handful of essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and currently loads no analytics or marketing cookies at all. Here is the full picture.
Essential cookies
These are required for the site and the dashboard to work — signing in, staying signed in, and remembering choices you have explicitly made. They cannot be switched off, because the product stops working without them.
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| mio_access | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard for the current session. | Session (short-lived) |
| mio_refresh | Lets the dashboard renew your session without asking you to sign in again. | Up to 30 days |
| mio-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode (stored in localStorage). | Until you clear it |
| bugpot_cc | Records your cookie choice so we don’t ask on every visit. | 12 months |
Analytics cookies
We don’t load any today — no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting. The consent banner still asks about analytics so that if we ever add a privacy-respecting analytics tool, your answer is already on record and nothing loads without it. Choosing “Essential only” costs you nothing.
Cookies set by the feedback widget
The Bugpot widget embedded on our customers’ websites does not set tracking cookies on visitors. It runs inside a Shadow DOM, activates only when a visitor opens it, and sends only what the visitor submits.
Changing your choice
You can reopen the consent panel at any time — your current choice is pre-filled:
You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time — the worst that happens is you get signed out and the banner asks again.
Questions
How we handle the data behind these cookies is covered in the privacy policy. Anything else, write to hello@bugpot.io.
