Send Bugpot reports to Jira
The Jira integration pushes new Bugpot reports into a Jira project as issues, keeps status in sync both ways, and mirrors comments so nobody has to switch tabs to follow the thread.
Bugpot × Jira
Push annotated reports straight into a Jira project as issues with the screenshot attached.
Status pills flow both ways.
How the sync works
Two-way sync, not a fire-and-forget webhook
Bugpot writes the report into Jira and then watches for changes coming back — status, comments and closes — so the two systems stay in step without anyone re-typing anything.
Outbound
Bugpot → Jira
New reports become issues in the project you choose, with the annotated screenshot as an attachment and the environment block in the description.
Inbound
Jira → Bugpot
Status changes and issue comments in Jira flow back onto the Bugpot report so reporters get updates without a Jira licence.
Field map
What lands where
Every Bugpot field has a home in Jira. The defaults are sensible; you can remap any of them from the workspace settings if your setup names things differently.
| Bugpot field | Jira field |
|---|---|
| Title | Issue title |
| Description | Description (Markdown) |
| Reporter name + email | Reporter (custom field) |
| Environment block (browser, OS, viewport, URL) | Environment (Markdown code block) |
| Console errors | Attached as fenced code |
| Annotated screenshot | Attachment (PNG) |
| Priority | Priority |

Setup
Five steps, about five minutes
The whole thing runs through OAuth — you don’t paste tokens, and Bugpot only requests the scopes it needs to create issues and read status changes.
In Bugpot, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Jira.
Authorise Bugpot to read and write to your Jira workspace via OAuth.
Pick the project that each Bugpot workspace should push to. You can override per issue type.
Map Bugpot statuses to your Jira statuses so the two-way sync knows what "resolved" means.
Send a test report from the widget and confirm it lands in Jira with the screenshot attached.
